JOB DESCRIPTION
AWS Solution Architect Team Leader
The AWS Solution Architect Team Leader plays a critical role in driving cloud transformation for enterprise customers while leading and developing a high-performing AWS architecture team. This position combines deep technical expertise, solution leadership, and team management, working closely with business, sales, and executive stakeholders to deliver large-scale cloud migration and modernization initiatives.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Leadership & Team Management

Lead, mentor, and develop a team of AWS Solution Architects, ensuring technical excellence and continuous capability growth.

Provide technical direction, review solution designs, and ensure architectural consistency and best practices across projects.

Support team capacity planning, skill development, and knowledge sharing.

Act as a technical escalation point for complex customer and delivery challenges.
Solution & Technical Leadership

Own and drive enterprise cloud migration and modernization strategies, from assessment to execution.

Lead migration readiness assessments, identify dependencies, risks, and mitigation plans.

Define technical strategies for high-value deals, ensuring alignment between business objectives and AWS architectures.

Architect scalable, secure, and cost-optimized solutions on AWS, including hybrid and multi-cloud environments.

Identify reusable architectures, patterns, and frameworks to improve delivery efficiency.
Customer & Stakeholder Engagement

Engage with C-level and senior stakeholders to provide cloud thought leadership and influence strategic decisions.

Work closely with account managers, sales, and delivery teams to identify, develop, and close opportunities.

Act as a trusted advisor to customers’ development, infrastructure, security, and IT operations teams.

Present complex technical concepts clearly to both executive and technical audiences.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications
-
8+ years of experience in design, implementation, or consulting for distributed systems and enterprise IT.

Proven experience leading cloud or data center migration projects, preferably at enterprise scale.

Prior leadership experience managing or mentoring engineering / architecture teams.

Strong background across multiple enterprise IT domains, such as:

Infrastructure & system architecture

Database architecture
-
IP networking
-
IT security
-
Data center operations
-
Software design or development
-

Deep expertise in AWS cloud services, architectures, and best practices (public & private cloud).

Ability to understand complex customer IT landscapes, identify opportunities, and overcome technical obstacles to drive AWS adoption aligned with business goals.

Excellent presentation, communication, and documentation skills; comfortable engaging with both technical teams and executive leadership.
Preferred / Nice to Have

Experience architecting complex solutions using AWS services in multi-vendor environments.

Hands-on experience with hypervisors (VMware, Hyper-V, Xen).

Strong knowledge of networking and database replication technologies.

Experience designing, building, and operating enterprise-scale IT infrastructures.

Familiarity with cloud discovery, assessment, and migration toolkits.

Experience with cloud-native architectures: containers, microservices, API management.

Exposure to DevOps and CI/CD toolchains (e.g. Jenkins, GitHub, Spinnaker) and container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, EKS).

COMPENSATION

Monthly salary negotiable based on candidate’s capabilities and experience

15-month total annual compensation package
